Barshim urges fans to enjoy Qatar GP

The Losail International Circuit was abuzz with big activity since the afternoon on Saturday, the second day of the Formula 1 Ooredoo Qatar Grand Prix. And among the sporting stars enjoying the racing action was Qatar’s Olympic high jump champion Mutaz Essa Barshim.
The tall athlete also spent time with some drivers in their pavilion alongside the paddock. He urged people in Qatar to make the most of the Grand Prix.
“I am extremely happy that Qatar is hosting the Formula 1 Ooredoo Grand Prix. I wish people will come here to Losail International Circuit and enjoy this great opportunity and have a lot of fun,” he said.
Barshim has been to many other Grand Prix as well. “I have been to many F1 races, I think five, in Japan, Monaco, Italy, France and one more. I really enjoy it and I am really happy that it has now come home,” he said.
